2024-2025 Registration has CLOSED.

Welcome to Becker Big Lake Youth Hockey Registration

Please see attached document below for the 2024-2025 season fees.

A late fee of $50 will be charged for registrants that do not register before the dates below:

● Squirts, Peewees and Bantams- September 6th, 2024.

● 8U (Mites A, B, C)- September 20th, 2024.

● 6U (Mites D)- November 17th, 2024.

Please follow ALL the steps below to complete your registration. (Coaches must register too).

Minnesota Hockey 2024-2025 YOUTH CLASSIFICATIONS

Youth 6U / Mini-Mite (Born on or after June 1, 2017)
Youth ages 5 and 6. Youth hockey associations in Minnesota Hockey offer a variety of programs at this age level that focus on teaching the basics of skating and hockey skills. Most programs are very affordable to allow kids to try the sport at a low cost and commitment. Non-checking.

Youth 8U / Mite (Born on or after June 1, 2015)
Primarily youth ages 7-9 but can include players eligible for Mini-Mite/6U. Most associations have multiple levels of Mite Divisions (I, II, III) based upon skill, age and size. There’s usually something for everyone! Contact your local association to get in touch with a Mite Coordinator for more information. Non-checking.

Youth 10U / Squirt (June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2015)
Youth ages 9-11. Most associations have multiple levels of Squirt teams (A, B & C) with varying amounts of cost, travel and competitiveness. Contact your local association to get in touch with a Squirt Coordinator for more information.

Youth 12U / Peewee (June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2013)
Youth ages 11-13. Most associations have multiple levels of Peewee teams (A, B & C) with varying amounts of cost, travel and competitiveness. Contact your local association to get in touch with a Peewee Coordinator for more information. Minnesota Hockey hosts Region and State Tournaments at the Peewee B, Peewee A and Peewee AA levels. Non Checking.

Youth 14U / Bantam (June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2011)
Youth ages 13-15. Most associations have multiple levels of Bantam teams (A, B & C) with varying amounts of cost, travel and competitiveness. Contact your local association to get in touch with a Bantam Coordinator for more information. Minnesota Hockey hosts Region and State Tournaments for the Bantam B, Bantam A and Bantam AA levels. Checking.

Junior Gold 16 (June 1, 2007 to May 31, 2009)
Youth ages 15 and 16. Select associations now field a Junior Gold 16 team in addition to or as an alternative to high school Junior Varsity and Junior Gold. Contact your local association or district to get in touch with a 16 & Under Coordinator for more information.  Checking.

Junior Gold (June 1, 2005 to May 31, 2007)
Young men ages 16, 17 and 18. Most associations now field Junior Gold teams in addition to or as an alternative to high school Junior Varsity. Contact your local association or district to get in touch with a Junior Gold Coordinator for more information. Minnesota Hockey hosts Region and State Tournaments for Junior Gold. Checking.

Adult Hockey (Born on or before May 31, 2005)
Men over 18. Clubs formed throughout the state for various age and skill levels, plus check and non checking. For more information, contact your local arena or Brandon Koontz, Director of Adult Hockey at (763) 232-3514. 

Registration Tips

  • Create log in for website if you haven't already done so.
  • Complete the USA Hockey Registration.
  • When entering skater's name, please use FULL LEGAL NAME as stated on birth certificate.
  • If this is your skaters first year with Becker Big Lake Hockey,  you must have copy of their state issued birth certificate handy to be uploaded.  The copy to upload must be in a pdf format -  NOT a photo of it. Contact Emily Korbel right away if this cannot be done.

Your registration confirmation # will be required to complete registration with BBLYHA.

Step 2: BBLYHA REGISTRATION

REMINDER: If this is your skaters first year with Becker Big Lake Youth Hockey, you will need to upload a copy of the player's birth certificate. You will NOT be able to complete the online registration without the birth certificate (must be in a pdf format; photos will not be accepted).  This must be a copy of the state issued birth certificate, no other certificates (i.e. hospital) will be accepted.

Step 3 :REGISTRATION NIGHT/ DEPOSITS

In-Person Registration Nights are as follows: 

In-Person Registration #1: August 14th 6:00pm - 8:00pm. 
Locations: Lupulin Brewery

In-Person Registration #2: August 29th 6:00pm - 8:00pm. 
Locations: Lupulin Brewery

It will be mandatory to attend one of the in-person registrations. 

Please complete the online registration prior to attending the in-person registration nights. 

The following items need to be turned in prior to your skater getting on the ice ( If you are not able to attend, the in-person registration, they can be mailed to PO Box 294, Becker, MN 55308).

1.) Volunteer Deposit- $400 deposit check due at time of registration or turned in no later than August, 31st 2023.  If Volunteer requirement is fulfilled the check will be destroyed if not fulfilled the check will be cashed. 

2.) Fundraising Deposit- $400 deposit check due at time of registration or turned in no later than August, 31st 2023. If Fundraising requirement is fulfilled the check will be destroyed if not fulfilled the check will be cashed. NEW 6U (Mite D) families have a $200 deposit. 

3.) Registration fee. Paid at time of online registration.

4.) If ice fees were not paid online, you can set up auto payments via Sports Engine or pay with check/money order each month.  

5.) First year players- bring a copy of the birth certificate if you were unable to upload a PDF version.
